Snow Memorie's

This is a view out the kitchen window today. It's not often we get snow that lands straight. Usually it's windy, lake effect and not too pretty. But this one is and it so reminds me of my childhood. The fluffy snow that kids love to jump and roll in, making snow angels as Mom watched out the window. I was always in such a hurry to get outside that I had no patience for the long process it took to get there ! The first layer of clothing was on,but the next few took forever and by the time I was bundled to Moms satisfaction she had to get dressed as well to get me out the door. I remember her lifting me off the porch, then leaping back through the door hollaring " have fun honey" I'll be watching. So there I stood, ready to leap in the snow, just couldn't move. The 2 pairs of mittens were tucked under the sleeves, snowsuit pulled up to my nose with the scarf making sure every breath might to be my last. The boots with 2 pairs of wool socks impossible to move and yet there I was with the vast frozen tundra just waiting for my leap. Alas ,it wasn't meant to be,the snow banks were too high and besides I might never be found if I managed to jump in there anyway. So I just waddled along the sidewalk, hoping soon to be rescued so the undressing could begin.By then I had to go to the bathroom anyway! Sometimes my Papa would show up with a smile of understaning on his face and give me a lift. Always my hero. Ah yes, this is that kind of snow and I love those memories.

Dearest Amy,
OMG, beautiful picture of snow seen from your kitchen window and sweet memory♡♡♡
We haven't had snow that lands straight yet this year (hehe, thanks for the phrase) And hoping at least one time this year. Thinking the trouble it causes for the traffic and so on, I should not say this; but I reminisce our several snow fall which we could make a snowman☃
Haha, just feeling cold won't be fair.

Sending you lots of love and hugs from Japan, xoxo Miyako*

Such a beautiful snowstorm followed up with cherished memories that made me chuckle. My precious grandmother used to bundle me up this way and back then, as you said, our bladders were so tiny! lol Hugs to you always, Mina
