Winters Arrival

This was the start of the storm. We got around 7 in. here but up to 20 in areas around us.
The wind howled at 50 + mph and power was out about 7 hours. We were lucky as
many folks still don't have power back yet,may be awhile.
We are always greatful for the wood stove and the gas range. It was peaceful and our
Golden Retriever Willy still hasn't had enough of that white stuff.

The days seem to go slower in the winter months, probably because I'm always anxious for
spring. I love my flowers and herb garden, plus sitting by the Koi pond. Those summer days
seem to fly by,yet I rememebr them lasting forever when I was young.

For this Christmas we've been given a new reason to treck on into the aging journey. We will
become first time Grandparents, something we've always wished for and are just thrilled
with the news. Sometime in mid June we will meet the little bundle and I am already
learning what marvelous baby treasures are out there to buy.
So the new year brings new joys and we are blessed.
I wish each and everyone of my friends and followers a very Merry Christmas and much
happiness, good health and peace for the New Year.

Merry Christmas Amy! What wonderful news - congrats to you and all with the new baby coming. The baby will change your life; it has mine with my grand daughters! Nothing like it and I'm still going nuts buying sweet things for both of them. It's a joy.

Wishing all good health and much joy, this season, and the coming new year!

Love, Marilyn
